About Us
Bears are the most attractive creatures on this planet and I started collecting teddy bears 25 years ago. One thing led to another and a bear making hobby suddenly became something I just couldn't stop doing.
All of my bears are from my own designs. I enjoy watching a sweet bear's face come to life out of a piece of beautiful mohair. Each of my bears are one of a kind and come from a smoke free home.
Friends from all over the world are the best thing I have gleaned from bear making. Christine Welsh, for being there from the beginning and my bearest friend, Monica Spicer, who has been my mentor. The one who would not take "No, I just cant do that" for an answer....BG
I was born in Massachusetts and my Dad was in the Air Force, so we travelled the world.
My husband Bob is a big help to me and the bears, as he puts them together with the nuts and bolts so they can run and play. He has been terrific with me as I have pursued this wonderful skill. My Dad was always there, finding the beautiful mohair and sending it to me and loving each and every bear I made.
My husband and I live in Orlando, Florida and have retired from Walt Disney World .
We have two beautiful daughters who are full grown and live in Council Bluff's, Iowa and Asheville NC. .... so we are being kids again enjoying the Mouse, and playing with Teddy Bears....
These are our four little dogs, who give us so much love and inspiration for my creations. Their names are: Liza, Scooter,Thumbelina, Lulu,
the puppy Cricket
... and this is in honer of Liza who was a family friend
for 16 loving years.
